The Tulane University School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine is developing anti-racism competencies for MPH students. You are being asked to provide your feedback and input on those competencies based on your expertise in public health and/or health equity.
Participation in this process is voluntary.
If you choose to participate, you will complete an anonymous online survey. This survey will help us learn more about the views of public health professionals in relation to how racism and its effects on health outcomes should be addressed in the curriculum of the Tulane University School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine.
As we would like to further disseminate our findings, we have submitted this survey as a study to the Tulane University Social-Behavioral IRB. It was determined to be exempt from further review.
You can stop the survey at any time. The survey is anonymous, and no one will be able to link your answers back to you. Please do not include your name or other information that could be used to identify you in the survey responses. The survey will take approximately 15 minutes to complete.
Risks associated with this study are minimal. Questions may cause discomfort for some. There will be no immediate direct benefits to you for participating in this research, but the knowledge gained from the study may benefit the school, the public health field, and society in general.
If you have any questions or concerns about the study, please contact Dr. Shokufeh Ramirez (she/her), Clinical Assistant Professor, at sramirez@tulane.edu or 504-988-3539. If you would like to speak with someone who is not directly involved in the study, contact the Tulane University Human Research Protection Office at 504-988-2665 or irbmain@tulane.edu.
